Getting started....

Ok I am just going to get this out of the way, my current weight is 218 lbs. My ultimate goal is to be 150. I am hoping to be there in about a years time. Not too bad considering that I have been gaining it for about eight years now, since being pregnant with my oldest. After each of my children were born I would lose some of the weight that I had gained, but always seemed to hold on to a few pounds (a few is probably an understatement, but ya know). It was ok though, because "I just had a baby". Well my oldest is going on three now so that excuse is getting kinda tired. I saw a woman on Oprah once that used that excuse for her weight gain. Oprah asked her how old her baby was and she replied "nine years". Ya, I think there comes a time when you just can't use that anymore and my time is fast approaching. It is true "I can't blame it on the baby anymore".

I have to take responsibility for my weight and why I am the way I am. So I am going to get started tracking my food and exercise and my goals and successes. Here we go!

Hi there! I just wanted to say hi....and to wish you luck on your weight loss journey. Our starting weights and goals are nearly the same; I started at 220 and want to end up at 140 or 145. I am currently at 160 so I'm getting there.

Just believe in yourself and the program, and you'll be successful. =) Again, good luck!
